We are gong to see more of this format. It won't usually be in color but i'm digging the whole dream idea. I've actually done quite a few others (in the buffer) and this is the most recent. I'd planed on doing this one anyhow, but since the move just came out I figured I'd move it up in the order.

This is a bit of an experiment for me though. I got some watercolor pastels for Christmas and thought I'd try them out on this.Really, I should probably keep my experiments off the internet, but I'm trying to get a feel for this form. I was able to create a really cool commission for someone using these, and they worked really well creating fire and wood. I couldn't get them to do the coat quite right in here though. It's a pity, when they work well, it's a great effect. Just look at the Hornet's scarf. When they don't work however, it's just a blotchy mess - like the jacket.

The other thing I'm happy about is the car. I'm really bad at cars...I'm not a car person and I don't really know what I'm looking at when I see one. The shapes and angles just don't quite make sense to me artistically. This car -probably a modified Chrysler 300- came out way better than I would usually expect. It may be the soft corners. I played with different types of shading than usual too. It's one of those times when I really can see how big of an effect inking has on a piece.

All in all, the image is a mixed bag for me, but it's always good to try and stretch artistically. I hope you think it's cool.
