The Found Footage festival is a collection of strange and unusual VHS clip presentations - old workout videos that celebrities wish they never made, PSA, HSN products that really should never have been approved...
They've been to Cleveland a few times, and I was fortunate to catch them the last time they were here doing a live show in a little dive called the Beachland Ballroom www.beachlandballroom.com (The kind of place that makes you WISH you were actually in a VFW hall because it wouldn't smell as bad).
I've got volumes one through four on DVD. Something Weird Video puts out a similar product called "Lost and Found Video Night". There's a lot of overlap between the two, but the thing that sets FFF apart is the personalities. "Lost and Found" is just clips edited together and presented for ridicule. FFF is hosted by Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher. Thier presence is minamal, but they help give context and make the presentation that much more enjoyable. I plan on going again the very next time they show up in Northeastern Ohio.
