Again, I don't know what to make of the new movie with Johnny Depp. On the other hand, that's only one picture that I've seen so far. The problem is, there's been a bunch of attempts to get this property off the ground again and they all have failed to really grasp the character, and as such they've all bombed. All except the Dynamite comic series. That has been unbelievable. It's definitely modern storytelling, but they GET the characters and the soul of the series is still intact. To date, it's the only worthy successor to the Clayton Moore TV episodes.
