I have gotten gift cards for places like Best Buy which are, in a sense my competitors. Bu the worst was the year I got gift certificates from my father for a comic shop I absolutely hate (keep in mind I was in my thirties when this happened). I know he meant well, and I really don't know how to react to it. My friends laughed for months. I ended up using them on Free Comic Book Day that year.
