This another great example of how the strip has changed from what I originally envisioned. This gag was a story idea from the beginning, but it was originally Chloe finding this kind of stuff in Taylor's closet. As we went on, It became obvious that this would be out of character for Taylor. I'd discarded it until recently when I began to think about developing the relationship between Chloe and Aimee.
There are a couple of leftovers from the original idea. Originally the arc was going to end with Steve teasing Taylor about Chloe being so freaked out and Taylor would make a reply about Steve's Morgan Webb obsession. I also never quite decided on who Taylor's shrine was going to be too. I had Melissa Joan Hart there as a placeholder of sorts - I had a big crush on her when I was younger and do in fact have an autographed photo from her.
In the end, I'm much happier whith how this turned out and I can't believe we actually managed to slip this quick gag arc in at such a late date!
