I don't really hate Miles Moralas, he's just not Spider-Man. It's a situation I think was handled better with the Spider-Verse Gwen Stacy. In both cases, the character is replacing Spider-Man, but in Gwen's case, she creates a solid, seperate identity for herself where as Miles, noble as his intentions may be, still has the baggage of being called "Spider-Man" when he isn't...
Look at this from the perspective of the uninitiated, those who haven't spent time in comics and know nothing of the difference between the Ultimate universe and the 616. To them, a Spider-man book without Peter Parker...it's insanity.
